History

The theatre was open in 1891 and originally named 'The Opera House' by Frank Matcham. After the 2nd World War, the theatre changed hands from the Cheltenham Corporation to a community theatre, when it was then renamed the 'Everyman'. There are two stages in the building; the 694 seat main stage and the 60 seat Studio Theatre, originally named The Richardson.

Events

The theatre is always busy with various performances from plays to ballet to music.
